Where are the dirt bike trails in Phuket?
North, east and south
The trails start from Enduro Phuket's workshop near Bangtao, in the middle of the island, and head north, east or south. Each direction has different terrain, and the route is picked for the riders on the day.
North: open and sandy trails
Open, sandy trails, heading north from the workshop.
East to Pa Khlok: open areas and mixed terrain
Fun open areas and a mix of terrain out toward Pa Khlok. Some rides loop back around toward the airport.
South: the Kathu and Patong hills to Chalong and the Big Buddha
Rockier. Through the Kathu and Patong hills, then over to Chalong and the Big Buddha, and some rides carry on down around Rawai. The trails pass through Kathu's hills, but the workshop is near Bangtao, and every ride starts and finishes there.

How hard are Phuket's trails? Easy, medium and hard
Easy, medium or hard
Every Enduro Phuket route is easy, medium or hard, and the route changes every ride. Heng checks the route and Tarn checks the riders, so the group rides trails that fit. Intermediate or experienced? Say so when you book, and we can take you on some of the harder trails.
Which bike riders usually take
- You ride on the road and are new to dirt
- Honda CRF300L
- You ride dirt at home and want more power for the climbs and rocky sections
- Husqvarna FE250, FE350 or FE450
- You're an experienced enduro rider who wants the harder trails
- KTM 300 EXC
Compare the Honda, Husqvarnas and KTM, and see which bike suits which trail.

Picked for your group
How we match the trail to your riding
- Heng checks the route on every ride day, and Tarn checks every rider before the group leaves.
- Each ride takes up to 5 riders, balanced by experience. The first booking on the day sets the pace, and stronger riders get the harder sections. A single rider still goes.
- We ride safe, tourist style, with views and photo stops.
- The hardest trails, hard enduro, are for private rides only. Ask on WhatsApp.
What happens when it rains?
We check the weather app before we leave and route around rain. In heavy rain, the group stops at a shelter. If a major storm makes riding unsafe, your ride moves to another date, and we message you before 8am.
Can I ride these trails on my own?
No. Enduro Phuket runs guided rides only, always with a local rider, and doesn't rent bikes for riding alone.
The trails are easy to get lost in and dangerous alone. Phone signal drops out in the hills, trails split, and a fall with nobody there to help is serious. Even our own riders never go out solo.
Riding past villages
The trails pass villages, so we stay off the road where we can and keep our impact on people and animals low. On public roads there's no revving and no wheelies. After three warnings, the ride heads back to the workshop.
Every trail on this page is part of Enduro Phuket's guided dirt bike rides in Phuket, 10am to about 2pm. Picking a bike next? Compare the bikes.
