Know the basics
You can ride with Enduro Phuket if you're 18 or over and can ride a bike with manual gears and a clutch. No dirt experience is needed.
No exceptions, so kids can't join a tour.
Road riding counts. Scooters and automatics don't.
Always with a local rider. We don't rent bikes for riding alone.
Never used a clutch? We don't give lessons, so start at the Honda Safety Riding Park Phuket, then come ride with us.
Never alone in the jungle
Off-road riding is risky, so every Enduro Phuket tour runs with a local rider. We never rent a bike for riding alone, and we never send anyone out with just a phone map and directions.
“It's very dangerous to ride alone in the jungle, especially when you don't know the trails. Even us local riders always have at least one friend with us, and someone who knows where we're heading.”
One ride isn't worth your holiday.

Heng and Tarn run Enduro Phuket from Heng's workshop near Bangtao.
Builds and services the bikes. Checks the route on tour days.
Checks the riders. Sets each bike's seat height and suspension.
9 checks, every tour
Enduro Phuket checks the bikes, the route, the weather and every rider before a tour leaves the workshop. On the trail, a local rider leads, and an ambulance can reach the whole route.
Before every tour: brakes front and back, chain, oil, oil filter and air filter, then a clean. Bikes are serviced regularly and run proper guards.

Heng checks the route on every tour day. Routes run easy, medium or hard, change every time, and are picked for the riders.

We check the weather before we leave and route around rain. In heavy rain, the group stops at a shelter.
Tarn checks every rider, plus the signed waiver and medical form. No alcohol or drugs before or during the tour.

Seat height and suspension set from the sizes you send. Full gear on: helmet, body armor, knee and elbow guards, gloves, and boots up to size 48/49.
A safety briefing before the tour, and WhatsApp and location swapped before the group rides out.

Groups are balanced by experience, with a local rider leading. The first booking on the day sets the pace, and stronger riders get the harder sections.

If a rider is out of sight for over 10 minutes, the group stops, waits and goes back. Photo stops on the way, and the local rider watches for tiredness.
The local rider gives first aid and carries basic tools, then calls a taxi or an ambulance. An ambulance, including a motorbike one, can reach the whole route.
Enduro is a high-risk adventure activity. Every rider signs a waiver and needs their own travel insurance.

The price covers the local rider who leads the tour, full safety gear, fuel, a water backpack and a GoPro. Rates are the same all year.

The full safety gear is included too: helmet, body armor, knee and elbow guards, gloves, boots up to size 48/49, jersey and pants. There are lockers at the workshop for your things.
In two parts. The 1,500 THB booking deposit per rider is paid ahead by card (Visa or Mastercard), Thai QR or crypto, and it comes off your total. The balance is paid at the workshop on the day: 4,000 THB on the Honda or 7,000 THB on the other bikes, in Thai baht cash or Thai QR.
Yes, for the balance: Thai baht cash or Thai QR at the workshop. The booking deposit can't be paid in cash. It's paid ahead, by 7pm the night before, to hold your bike and your place.

Pay the booking deposit by card instead, or give cash to your hotel reception or a travel agent, who can pay the QR for you and send us the receipt. On the day, the balance can be paid in Thai baht cash.
A refundable cash amount you leave at the workshop before the tour: 5,000 THB for the Honda CRF300L, or 10,000 THB for the Husqvarnas and the KTM. Any currency is fine, but not crypto. It isn't part of the tour price, and you get it back at the end of the tour.
We don't stress over minor scratches or falls, and they aren't charged. The security deposit covers major damage to the bike or gear. Under the waiver, you pay the cost of damage you cause.
No. Enduro Phuket has one price per bike, per rider, all year. There are no group discounts, special prices or free rides.
Two riders on the Honda CRF300L pay 11,000 THB in total: a 1,500 THB booking deposit each to book, then 4,000 THB each on the day. On a Husqvarna or the KTM it's 17,000 THB for two. Each rider also leaves a refundable security deposit at the workshop.
Booking and dates
Message Enduro Phuket on WhatsApp at +66 65 701 3591 with your date, how many riders and what you ride at home. We send the waiver, the medical form and a link for the 1,500 THB booking deposit per rider, which must be paid by 7pm the night before. Then send your jersey, pants and boot sizes, and we send the workshop pin.
Tomorrow, yes, if there's a place free and you book and pay the booking deposit by 7pm tonight. Today, no. Enduro Phuket has no same-day tours and no walk-ins, because planning ahead keeps the tour safe and the group balanced.
By 7pm the night before at the latest. There's one tour a day for up to 5 riders, and only one of each Husqvarna and the KTM, so booking a few days ahead gives you the most choice of dates and bikes.
Yes, once, if you give at least 24 hours' notice on WhatsApp and another tour has space. If you don't show up, or arrive more than 30 minutes late, it counts as a no-show and the booking deposit isn't refunded.
Message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know. If you keep us posted, the group waits 20 to 30 minutes. More than 30 minutes late counts as a no-show.
Yes, every day except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The workshop is also closed over Songkran. The tour leaves at 10am each day, and the workshop is open 9:30am to 7pm.
Yes. Each tour takes up to 5 riders, balanced by experience, so a group of 5 or fewer can ride together if the day has space. The first booking on the day sets the pace, and stronger riders get the harder sections. A single rider still goes.
Yes, depending on the day, so ask on WhatsApp. The hardest trails (hard enduro) are private only.
Yes. Multi-day riders come back for the same 10am start each day, and each day can be a new route and a different level. There are no overnight trips. The booking deposit is per rider, per day, so 3 riders for 2 days is 9,000 THB.
The ride
About 4 hours, starting at 10am, so it's a half day. Arrive at the workshop at 9:50am to pay the balance, leave the security deposit and get your gear on. You're back a bit after 2pm, normally by 2:30.
No. Enduro Phuket runs one tour a day, leaving at 10am. There's no other start time and no shorter tour.
Enduro Phuket's tours head north, east or south from the workshop near Bangtao. North is open and sandy. East goes to Pa Khlok, with fun open areas and a mix of terrain, and some rides loop back toward the airport. South is rockier, through the Kathu and Patong hills to Chalong and the Big Buddha, and some rides carry on to Rawai. The route changes every time and is picked for the riders on the day.
Routes come in easy, medium and hard, and change every tour. Heng checks the route and Tarn checks the riders, so the group gets trails that fit. We ride safe, tourist style, with views and photo stops. Want it harder? We can take you on some of the harder trails.
No. Enduro Phuket rides proper enduro dirt bikes, two wheels with manual gears and a clutch, on the jungle trails. There are no ATVs or quad bikes.
We check the weather before we leave and route around rain. In heavy rain, the group stops at a shelter. If a major storm makes riding unsafe, your tour moves to another date, and we message you before 8am.
Yes. There are photo stops along the way, and every rider carries a water backpack. Most riders want to keep riding, so the usual stop is a quick coconut or a 7-Eleven break to refresh. Groups who want a lunch break can have one, but it cuts into riding time, and a full stomach makes you sluggish on the bike.
Fit enough to ride for about 4 hours. You confirm you're fit to ride on the waiver, and declare any medical conditions or past injuries on the medical form. There are photo stops along the way, and the local rider watches for tiredness.
Yes. A GoPro is included free, and you're welcome to bring your own camera. The local rider also takes some photos on the trail and shares them with your route after the tour.
Who can ride
No dirt experience is needed, but you must be able to ride a bike with manual gears and a clutch. Road riding counts. Scooters and automatics don't. Riders new to dirt usually take the Honda CRF300L.
Not on a tour yet. It's too dangerous to ride in the jungle without clutch control, and Enduro Phuket doesn't give lessons. The Honda Safety Riding Park Phuket runs beginner lessons. Start there, then come ride with us.
No. Every bike in the fleet has manual gears and a clutch, so clutch control is the one riding skill you need.
Every rider must be 18 or over. No exceptions, so Enduro Phuket can't take anyone younger out on the trails. For the basics, the Honda Safety Riding Park Phuket runs riding lessons on the island.
Generally no. Enduro is off-road riding on jungle trails, and there's no license for riding off-road. What matters is that you can ride a manual bike with a clutch. It's a high-risk adventure sport, and taking part is your own decision: check that your own travel insurance covers dirt biking, and know that you're responsible for your own safety and choices on the bike. Every rider signs a waiver and a medical form before the tour. Bring your passport or ID.
Bikes
Enduro Phuket rides the Honda CRF300L (300cc 4-stroke, four of them), the Husqvarna FE250, FE350 and FE450 (4-stroke, one of each) and the KTM 300 EXC (300cc 2-stroke, kick start only for now). Every bike is checked before each tour: brakes, chain, oil and filters.
Take the Honda CRF300L if you ride on the road and are new to dirt: it's light, forgiving and the bike most riders pick. Take a Husqvarna if you ride dirt at home and want more power for the climbs and rocky sections. Take the KTM 300 EXC if you're an experienced enduro rider who wants the harder trails.
No. Kawasaki KLX bikes aren't offered for now. Riders new to dirt start on the Honda CRF300L.
No. Enduro Phuket, formerly Phuket Extreme Enduro and Heng Modify, runs guided tours only and doesn't rent bikes for riding alone. The jungle trails are easy to get lost in and dangerous alone. Even our own riders never go out solo, and we never send anyone out with just a phone map and directions.
No. Every tour runs on Enduro Phuket's own bikes, with the seat height and suspension set for each rider. You're welcome to bring your own helmet, boots, goggles or gloves.
Gear and what to bring
Your passport or ID and your own socks. All the riding gear is included, but you can bring your own helmet, boots, goggles or gloves if you prefer them. There are lockers at the workshop for your things.
Boots go up to size 48/49. After booking, send your jersey, pants and boot sizes, and we set the bike's seat height and suspension for you as well.
No. Enduro Phuket doesn't hold passports. The team just takes a photo of it at the workshop.
A release and waiver of liability, and a medical form. In plain words: off-road riding is risky and you accept that risk, you pay for damage you cause, you need your own travel insurance that covers off-road motorcycling, and you ride sober. Be honest about any medical conditions or past injuries.
Getting there
At Enduro Phuket's workshop, 121/6 Si Sunthon, Thalang, near Blue Tree Phuket in the Bangtao Beach area. It's on the main road and easy to spot by the bikes. Grab and some map apps still show it as Heng Modify. Every tour starts and finishes there.
Yes. A private driver can take your group from your hotel to the workshop and back for 2,300 THB return, which suits bigger groups. For one or two riders, a Grab taxi or a scooter is usually cheaper.
Safety and insurance
The local rider gives first aid on the trail, then calls a taxi or an ambulance. An ambulance, including a motorbike ambulance, can reach the whole route. Medical costs are yours, which is why you need travel insurance.
Yes. Enduro Phuket doesn't provide personal accident, medical or travel insurance. Bring your own policy that covers off-road motorcycling in Thailand, and check it before you come.
Before the tour, riders and the local rider swap WhatsApp and live location. If anyone is out of sight for more than 10 minutes, the group stops, waits and goes back.
Yes. No alcohol or drugs before or during the tour. Follow the local rider and wear the gear. On public roads there's no revving and no wheelies: after three warnings, the tour heads back to the workshop.
